Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ScoreMate mobile application (the "App"), operated by the ScoreMate Team ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The service
ScoreMate lets you keep score for sports, card games, and group activities on your device, and optionally share a live scoreboard with other people through a room joined by PIN or QR code. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The App does not require you to create an account. To sync rooms, the App signs your device in anonymously with our backend provider. You are responsible for the device you use and for anyone you let join your rooms.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the names, scores, notes, and other information you enter ("Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, and display that Content solely to operate the App, including showing it to other participants in a room you share. You are responsible for your Content and must have the right to share any names or information about other people that you enter.
4. Acceptable use and objectionable content
There is zero tolerance for objectionable Content or abusive behaviour in shared rooms. By using the App you agree that you will not:
- enter Content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, defamatory, or infringing, including in player names, team names, room names and notes;
- use the App for anything unlawful, including illegal gambling or settling real-money wagers;
- attempt to access other people's rooms without their PIN or QR code, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are.
Removing a participant. The host of a room can remove any device from that room at any time from the room's Info tab, and can end the room, which stops all further access to it.
Reporting. Report abusive Content or behaviour from Settings → Report a Problem in the App, or by email to luongminh2410dev@gmail.com. We review every report and aim to act within 24 hours, by removing the Content, ending the room, or barring the device responsible.
5. Purchases and advertising
The App is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob; how advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy. The App currently has no paid features. If a feature is later offered as a one-time purchase or a subscription, it will be billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, renewal, and refunds are handled by the store under its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your store account settings before the end of the current period.
6. Data and rooms
Rooms and scores are provided as a convenience. We may delete inactive rooms or reset the service, and we do not guarantee that any Content will be retained. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, and you can ask us to delete it from our data deletion page.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its design, and its branding belong to the ScoreMate Team and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name or logos.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of scores or results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the ScoreMate Team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end access to the service if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version is always published at this address with its effective date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
